Newport's waterfront village for a slow afternoon: al fresco dining, coastal boutiques, and a bayside walk.
Lido Marina Village is a small, walkable stretch along Newport Bay, and it is the easy answer for an afternoon off the sand. Waterside tables, a mix of boutiques and design-forward shops, and bay views the whole way. Even if you are not eating or shopping, it is a good place to wander on a sunny, breezy day, with shaded seating and umbrellas along the water.
local tip: the parking structure is free for the first hour, then charges in 15-minute increments. Valet runs $8 for the first two hours, then $3 for every half hour after.
It pairs well with a morning on the Balboa Peninsula or a loop around the harbor. Beach first, village after.
