Where does ocean bound plastic come from?
Everyday items like plastic bottles, bags, and food wrappers can become ocean bound plastic when not properly disposed of. Coastal areas and developing regions without adequate waste management are particularly vulnerable. In fact, around 80% of ocean plastic comes from land-based sources, making it essential to target this waste before it reaches the sea.
Why ocean bound plastic is a crisis we can’t ignore?
Once plastic enters the ocean, it doesn’t biodegrade. Instead, it breaks down into tiny particles called microplastics, which spread across vast distances, entering the food chain and even reaching our own plates. Step 1
Collecting ocean bound plastic.
It all starts with collection. Partnering with local communities and organizations, we gather plastic waste from coastlines and waterways before it reaches the ocean. This initiative keeps beaches cleaner and supports communities in waste management.
Step 2
Cleaning & sorting waste.
Once collected, the plastic waste goes through a rigorous cleaning and sorting process. We remove impurities, separate plastics by type, and prepare them for transformation. This step ensures the final product is free from contaminants, safe, and of the highest quality.
Step 3
Recycle & process into fiber.
The clean, sorted plastic is transformed into durable fibers through advanced recycling technology. Melted, spun, and woven, these fibers become the high-quality threads that form our fabric. This process minimizes waste, reduces energy, and breathes new life into discarded plastic.
Step 4
Crafting fabric with purpose.
These recycled fibers are woven into soft, resilient waffle microfiber fabric, designed to be as comfortable as it is sustainable. Our team ensures every piece meets the highest standards, providing towels and beach essentials that are stylish and support a cleaner ocean.
